Friends!

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 11, 2007, 7:46 AM
:bulletblue: ... Romans! Countrymen!

It's been really freakin' ages, so I anticipate that only the people I talk to outside of dA are still going to be keeping track of me, but I felt like a quick post. So, it's been pretty much two years since I've been heavily active around here. What's new in the amazing life of Ben? Eh, this and that.

I've been shooting a fair amount on my AE-1 with 35mm film, but it being film and me being short of money, I'm not getting much of it scanned and even that which I have scanned I haven't been uploading, that might change and then again it might not.

I wrote a play in July, I was going to enter it in a short play contest, but I forgot, so I will enter it next year in July, I suppose. For reasons of plausible deniability, I won't be posting it anywhere until then.

Hey guess what! I worked out that this post is just me posting for the sake of it. So how about you do the same, if you watch me still and we've not spoken in a while, let me know what's up and how things are and so on.

Also I've been getting trickles of +favs so a general thank you to anyone stopping by and liking my stuff. Of course, as is always the case, the works I like the most are not the ones getting the +favs, but there's no monetary value attached to +favs anyway so I don't really mind.

The other thing is that you really have to check out this fantastic new technology, especially if you're interested in photography and / or social networks. It is still in its infancy but has uber potential.

First watch this video demonstration of it:
[link]
Then try the interactive technology demo:
[link]
At the moment it doesn't support Opera but IE and FireFox are fine.

Peace!

Well equipment is good, but not vital! A good photo comes from a good photographer, not a good camera :)

:D I suspected as much (since it's part of the Dumbrella network) , but thought i'd tell you about it anyway, because it would be a small tragedy if T-Rex's charming innocence and ability to take joy in life's simple pleasures ( stomping down buildings, namely) had escaped your attention .

Thanks for the links. I really <3 "Perfect Stars ".

- By Chocs ( Great war- Britain)

- "Flaming Norah" and "Crippens" - (children's fake swearing - Enid Blyton book)

- qunt ( swearword from Chaucer - take a guess).

Oh, and i wanted to tell you that you might like [link] , if you weren't already familiar with it ( which ou probably are)

Anyhow , tc + i hope everything's goinng well with you.

less suspicious?

i assure you my dear, i am so subtle, my acts crafted with such finesse, that they are already so unsuspicious, so guilelessly trusting, that the phrase "less suspicious" holds no meaning!

Things are good! But I think I have a cold! Since I feel all sickly, and so on. Your website is somewhat fun if somewhat 90s! The lemur game was reasonably amusing. I mean, I didn't laugh but I liked it.

Hey lil bro,

cut and past this address into your browser:

and be the 4th person in as many years to visit my crappy website. It's guaranteed to be the strangest, worst designed page you[ve seen in months. Plus, it comes with a free print out certificate allowing the bearer to walk naked and scratch him/herself in public. What else could a body want?

Kind of depressed that i'm the only person so far to get into lemur hell.

come wallow in my crapulence with me! tempting offer, eh ?

how're things with you?

best wishes from the queen of the lemurs and your big sis, Eccles

I really liked I Heart Huckabees. It was a bit like *existentialism for the layperson* but it was fun and friendly. I just really liked some of the moments in it, like when one of the detectives dived into that woman's car, or when Jude Law's character was wandering around with "How am I not myself?" echoing in his head making him crack, or just little bits like
"Have you ever transcended space and time?"
"Yes. Well, space yes time now. Actually I have no idea what you just asked me"

dAmn! Teddy didn't get me! How unexpected!

I'd still like to recreate that scene from Carrie where the hand tries to pull people into the ground. I was going to bury myself underground with an oxygen mask and a periscope (to watch my victims) but i figure that the weight of the soil would be too heavy and i'd be too dead to continue with my prank. Perhaps some sort of mechanical hand.

HOw've you been, lil bro?

" I heart huckabees" - eeewwww *shivers*. Also, ever since repeatedly watching "Sin City" Jude Law has freaked me out. I know he isn't in it, but he's like a hot version of Elijah Wood *shivers* - creepy little hobbit.

When my cousin recommended I heart huckabees to me, she described as being like a light hearted, uplifting exploration of how people find meaning (or at least, a less nihilistic version of "Fight Club") . I saw it more as a anaemic parody of the self actualisation movement and the rat race and it seemed more reflective of the early eighties to mid 90s than today, and found it irritating how self involved all the characters were .

:) I'm not trying to force my opinion on you and perhaps i'm just too far outside of the intended audience of the film to appreciate the film's message. How is it that you interpreted teh film?

Answer at your leisure ( that is , in a month or threes time ( or not at all ) if you are busy with other things . I hope things are going well with you.

tc from your big sis eccles

i sent you an email, but i think only the second part got to you. Since it is a very special and important email, here are the important parts ( as recounted to somebody else :

i just got a chain letter in my e-mail box with this message:

WHEN U ALREADY START READING THIS DON'T STOP OR ELSE SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN......... MY NAME IS TEDDY....I AM 7 YEARS OLD WITH BLONDE HAIR AND SCARY EYES. I HAVE NO NOSE OR EARS. I AM DEAD. IF U DO NOT SEND THIS TO 15 PEOPLE IN THE NEXT 5 MIN. , I WILL APPEAR TONIGHT BY YOUR BED WITH A KNIFE AND KILL YOU. THIS IS NO JOKE. SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U TONIGHT AT 10:22. SOMEONE WILL CALL U OR

I am so stoked about this because, since i couldn't be bothered sending it to 15 other people teddy's gonna get me .

Also, The guy that wrote the original version of the ring is giong to get teddy for copyright infringement.

but since i'll be terribly murderd, i will be able to come back as a ghost and spend eternity recreating old horror films

i've always wanted to do the whole carrie thing

i suppose you'll be terribly murdered, too, now that i've sent you that message

do you want to join me?
